EXPORTS TO ALL MARKETS EXCEPTING EUROPEAN UNION (EU), GREAT BRITAIN AND SWITZERLAND

The Australian Government Organic Goods Certificate (EX1401) is used for export markets other than EU, Great Britain and Switzerland. Please contact us if you are uncertain as to whether your product has access to particular markets.

In addition to the TRACES COI or the Great Britain COI, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry also requires EX1401 to be completed. This is known as the exporting country requirement.

Before the consignment leaves Australia, both of these documents need to be sent to OFC, together with supporting documents, in order for OFC to approve the documents.

EXPORTS TO THE EU

Organic export certificates for the EU are lodged through an electronic system known as TRACES. If you are sending a consignment to the EU for the first time, please contact us so we can advise you on how to register for a login account on TRACES.

The EU TRACES Certificate of Inspection (COI) is completed online for each consignment to the EU. This is known as the importing country requirement. When a COI is completed, OFC is notified that there is a COI awaiting our approval. Once the COI is approved, we will send you a PDF of the COI to you. The EU also receives an electronically signed COI from OFC.

EXPORTS TO GREAT BRITAIN

Organic export certificates for Great Britain (GB) started using a new system from 1 January 2021.

The Great Britain Certificate of Inspection (GB COI) is a form completed manually for each consignment to Great Britain. This is known as the importing country requirement.

In addition to the GB COI, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry also requires EX1401 to be completed. This is known as the exporting country requirement.

Before the consignment leaves Australia, both of these documents need to be sent to OFC, together with supporting documents, in order for OFC to approve the documents.

EXPORTS TO SWITZERLAND

Before the consignment leaves Australia, this documents need to be sent to OFC, together with supporting documents, in order for OFC to approve the documents.
